In December 2023, Pacolet further expanded and diversified its waste-to-value business segment by acquiring Piedmont Green Power (PGP), a 55 MW biomass-fired power plant. Located in Barnesville, GA, PGP utilizes wood waste as a feedstock to generate electricity. In 2026, Pacolet acquired Georgia Renewable Power (GRP), which operates two biomass-fired power plants in northeast Georgia, one in Franklin County and one in Madison County, with 116 MW of combined generating capacity.
