Leaders in the Sustainable Energy Transition
Power & Infrastructure owns and operates a diverse set of sustainable infrastructure assets that includes utilities, renewables, and industrial infrastructure. It focuses its investment efforts on projects and companies that play a role in the broader energy transition occurring in our country today, with the bulk of its portfolio having a direct impact on decarbonization efforts.
We own and manage a diversified portfolio of energy infrastructure businesses in specific middle market niches. These businesses typically have high quality off-take contracts or monopolistic positions that are designed to produce attractive risk-adjusted returns and are more resistant to market cycles than many other operating segments.
Power & Infrastructure has evolved over time from its nascent beginnings with a stable but smaller version of Lockhart Power, to a diversified collection of renewable energy assets: a waste-to-value business segment focusing on landfill gas (LFG) to electricity and renewable natural gas (RNG), an industrial services company that has grown to over twelve times its initial acquisition value through investment and organic growth, a portfolio of solar projects, a toll manufacturing operation, a depot business servicing the bulk liquid transportation market, a biomass-fired power plant, and a rapidly growing electric utility. Though diverse in character and purpose, these assets all share certain common aspects. They all, either by nature or in practice, tend to be capital intensive, advance sustainability, and provide utility and other critical infrastructure services.
