Pacolet Milliken is a family-owned, private investment company that has a multi-generational investment horizon. Its long-term economic goals are to increase the intrinsic value of its business as measured by its stock price, while meeting the dividend expectations of its shareholders. We manage our two divisions (Real Estate and Energy / Infrastructure) holistically, balancing non-cash value accretion vs. near-term cash flows, stabilized acquisition vs. development, and organic growth vs. acquisitive growth, all in a manner designed to meet shareholder objectives.

We embrace our shareholders’ mandate to operate at the intersection of profitability and values. Pacolet is not merely a financial enterprise, but also a vehicle through which the shareholders’ values are expressed in business strategies that improve the communities and the world in which we live. We endorse the notion that how we make money, is as important as how much money we make.

Greenways & Blueways

Pacolet supports multiple greenway trail initiatives including Spartanburg’s “The Dan,” The Palmetto Conservation Foundation’s “Palmetto Trail,” the “Green Crescent Trail” in Clemson, SC, and “The Thread Trail” in LaGrange, GA. All of Pacolet’s mixed-use development projects contain sidewalls and trails that connect to one of these regions trail networks.

Community Development

Pacolet Milliken has been actively working in the Drayton community since the company’s inception. The initial efforts, which focused on redevelopment of the historic mill, quickly expanded into a holistic mindset for helping the community become a place where people want to live, work and play. A master plan was created and serves as a guide to ensure that individual development projects fit together, and that the resulting community is greater than the sum of its parts.

Green Power Generation

Pacolet continues to increase the size of solar projects & the rate in which those projects come online. To date, Pacolet has 24 solar projects in spread throughout the county (South Carolina, New Mexico, Maine, and Massachusetts) generating over 60 MWs power.
